Filippo Mazza

Filippo’s practice mainly focuses on corporate M&A, private equity and real estate, both at domestic and international level. Further, Filippo has extensive experience in business restructuring with a special focus on executive and directors dismissal related issues.  His practice also includes handling regulatory and contentious (in particular arbitration) issues associated with corporate matters.

He is particularly active in the insurance and energy markets, having assisted several multinational corporations in their investments and restructuring operations in Italy.

Before joining Ughi e Nunziante, Filippo has worked for more than 15 years in important US firms.

Filippo has published several articles on tender offers, international contracts, and comparative law and is a frequent lecturer at seminars and masters’ programs held by Italian universities (La Sapienza Rome; SISIM Siena). He has been admitted to the Italian Supreme Court in 2016.

Filippo is recognized and recommended as a leader in corporate and M&A by Best Lawyers, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, PLC Which Lawyer?, European Legal Experts and IFLR 1000 and is praised by clients for his “technical skill and ability to propose effective solutions”.  In 2024 Filippo was awarded “Lawyer of the Year Insurance” within the context of the Legal Community Corporate Awards.
